Off we go again with another hard game as Cambridge take on the mighty
Swindon at The Abbey.

Having a look at the visitors form over the last few weeks Cambridge United
fans will be quietly confident to take all 3 points away from Swindon this
afternoon as The Robbins have only managed to win 2 in their last 7 games.
In recent times The Robbins have lost to teams like Cheltenham and
Chesterfield which U’s fans and players could capitalise on with ear shattering
noise and champions league standard football over the 90 minutes today.

Another stat to water the mouth of United fans is that Swindon have also
conceded 10 goals in the last 4 games with 3 of those team sitting under
United in the league table. Swindon do have the best travelling points tally in
League 2 though accumulating 31 points in just 18 games which should sound
like a stat that would send shivers down the spine of any team that has to play
them. But their momentum has taken a hit after their 2-2 draw with Lincoln as
they have consecutively lost their last 3 away games.
Cambridge though are looking to push on for their first win in 3 as they take on
Swindon today. After their torrid run of fixtures United will be looking forward to
playing a team who is not in the top 7 of the league like they have done in the
past 4 matches back to back. Though 0 wins in 3 is not a fair statistic looking at
the opponents as all 4 teams that United have gone toe to toe against should
be playing in league 1 next season.

If only home results counted for United as it would be quite a successful
season and would be occupying the last play off spot in the league. Their
recent form shows that as United have been undefeated in the last 7 home
games!

Head To Head

There isn’t much in the way of prior results with the two teams as they have
only played 5 competitive fixtures against each other since the year 2000 but
within that 18 years United have managed to win none of those games and
Swindon have won every single one of them.

Swindon have averaged 2 goals per game in the last 18 years against the U’s
while United have managed to score 2 goals total in the last 18 years.

All stats into consideration The Robbins will find it hard tackling the Amber Army.
